The Solution Architect for Optic and IP Network is accountable to strategize, plan. Design a cost effective, scalable, reliable and future proof Integrated Network supporting Mobile, Enterprise, Home services and internal consumption such as ISD and regional office/sites. The Transport Optic and IP Network shall be strategized and build based on solid Engineering Policies, Guidelines and Quality Target and sound business drivers by incorporating smart execution of mid-long term Maxis Architecture Roadmap derived from transport technology evolution. Adopt the best practise methodology and the defined scopes cover but not limited to, the Strategic nature such as Service Support domain (Strategy, Demand, Portfolio and Finance Management), Service Design (Availability, Capacity, Service Continuity, Security, Supplier Management and Design Coordination across section and technology), Tactical nature such as in Service Transition domain ( Asset, Change, Release and Deployment and Knowledge Management) and extend to Service Operation domain (Problem Management, Service Reporting and Measurement).
What are you accountable for?
- Operational to strategic role, capable of instructing and leading others to achieve results across other fields - in Technology Domain of Transport, RAN and Core Network development and businesses supporting Mobile, Enterprise and Home services
- Perform complex assignments, influence strategy and direction of specialized field or a network domain. Apply sophisticated concepts and principles to solve complex issues.
- Act strategically as a Solution Architect to Lead in Optic and IP Network development strategy, hierarchy, aggregation and policy development
- Act strategically with TSP & Radio team to develop cost effective mobile backhaul and front haul solution that meet the service requirements & biz costing; inclusive of taking input from Annual Operating plan, 3 year Transmission Plan, Special projects like LTE, Clawback rollout, HotSpots sites & etc.
- Work with the teams to develop Details Design on the actual Transport backhaul and front haul, and IP Network design to meet rollout requirements with alignment with TSP, Radio and Core team on the mid & long term service evolution and also taking into consideration of Collaboration with Network Industry on industry join development (sharing/swapping) & SKMM’s requirements
- Act tactically and work with Transport planners to develop & established short-midterms mobile backhaul and fron thaul development and taking into consideration of Access physical layers clustering opportunity for better resiliency
- Work with respective team to ensure the guidelines are enforced & rollout accordingly. This include during Implementation and Operation stages
- Pivot for the whole Transport Network Resiliency program and ensuring all the policy from respective technology/network are defined, designed and builds. Follow up with periodic risk assessment of the resiliency program and mitigation plan for the short coming
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering/Computer Science or related field
- Relevant working experience in a Solution Architect role, involved in policy making, design and roll out of the Telco network
- Telecommunication Knowledge and Experience covering, RAN and Transport Network technology
- Product Knowledge of Transport Network include (but not limited to), Fiber- OSP/ISP, OPTIC, IP/MPLS, Microwave, VSAT, PTN, GPON, METRO-E, Backhauling, Front Hauling, HOME/NGBB,
- Policy Making and Network design strategy for network efficiency & cost effectiveness
