Experienced Telecommunication Riggers

GRA Networks is a leading provider of services to clients in the telecommunications industry. We provide a range of services including design, project management and construction. We specialise in the installation, commissioning and testing of critical infrastructure.

We currently have opportunities for Riggers with experience in the telecommunications industry, to join our team in New South Wales.

You must have a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in telecommunications rigging to apply for this role.

Job description:

• Installation of telecommunications cabling and equipment
• Installation, relocation and removal of tower mounted equipment
• Working at heights on a range of telecommunications structures including poles, towers and masts to install antennas, feeders and ancillary equipment
• Erection and fixing of steel structures to facilitate the installation of telecommunications equipment
• Termination of telecommunications cables of various types and sizes
• Testing of cables for compliance with specifications
• Working with cranes, cherry pickers and EWP’s as required carrying out works on site
• Conducting site audits

Required Experience:

Successful applicants will have the following:

• 3+ years’ experience in telecommunication rigging
• Experience with Telstra, Optus and VHA installations standards (Preferable)
• Transmission and Microwave experience (Preferable)
• Intermediate to advanced rigging certification
• EWP Ticket (Preferable)
• Current drivers’ licence
• Construction industry white card
• Working at Heights certification
• Tower rescue certification
• Senior first aid training including CPR
• RF awareness certification
• Good communications skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices

The positions will be based in NSW with travel to regional areas and other states when required.
